Celebrating Winter with Children’s Books

Snow, the promise of new beginnings, the importance of family, charity…these are just a few of the themes of winter that we want to revisit each year. Unfortunately, it can be hard to find children’s books about these themes that aren’t religious. The ones that aren’t specifically Christian often have a strong emphasis on the Santa Claus mythos, which we don’t feel comfortable with either. Here are some beautifully illustrated books about winter that we hope to include in our book rotation. Enjoy!
